How clients sign in

One-click links. No passwords to remember, lose, or leak.

Praxnote sends each client a single-use sign-in link by email or text. They tap it, they're in. No password is created, stored, or asked for — which means there is no password for anyone to steal, share, or reuse from another site.

How sign-in works

  1. The client requests access, or receives an invitation from their clinician
  2. Praxnote sends them a single-use link by email or text
  3. They tap the link, and the portal opens, already signed in
  4. For clients who use the portal offline (waiting rooms, in transit), the device can keep a private, PIN-locked copy of what they need

Why this is safer than passwords

Most password breaches happen because people reuse the same password across sites. A site that doesn't have a password can't have that problem. There's nothing to remember and nothing to steal.

Clients who prefer a password can set one from the portal — sign-in by magic link and sign-in by password both work. SMS codes and authenticator-app codes are on the roadmap.

For clients who don't read in English

English and Spanish from day one. More on request.

Every screen of the client portal is translated. English and Spanish ship by default. Practices serving clients in other languages can add more, and each client's language preference is remembered between visits. Clinician and admin screens stay in English.

  • The client's language preference is remembered each time they come back
  • Additional languages can be added at the practice's request; English is always available
  • Every screen is designed for phones — large taps, clear type, calm pacing
  • A warm, low-contrast palette designed to meet accessibility standards without feeling clinical
